Biography

Professor Anil Kumar Indira Krishnan is a distinguished public health expert with over 20 years of experience in health systems strengthening, health financing, and nutrition policy across Asia and Africa. He holds a PhD in Public Health with a specialization in Health Economics from Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University, India.


His work has focused on universal health coverage, primary healthcare, maternal and child health, and non-communicable disease management, with significant policy impact in countries such as Nigeria, Liberia, Rwanda, Chad, and Guinea. He has held prominent leadership roles, including Director of Global Health at the University of Global Health Equity, Rwanda, and Technical Lead for Health Systems at Help Age International in Myanmar. 


Prof. Anil has collaborated with global organizations like UNICEF, USAID, GIZ, Gates Ventures, and the World Health Organization. He is known for fostering cross-cultural leadership, capacity building, and innovative health solutions. Prof. Anil continues to influence global health policy through his active roles in advisory boards, steering committees, and international health forums.
